Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Book review

The day after spending the whole day i Disney we took a trip to Universal Studios. We bought a Park-to-park ticket so we could go from Universal Studios and Adventure island as we wanted and well.. take the Hogwarts express from park to park.
I have to admit i was there mostly because of the Harry Potter World which was spread out in both the parks. In the Universal Studios park we saw Crustyland like in The Simpsons, some kind of Dapper land with blues drummers and Shrek. We went to find the Hogwarts Express. We met a guy working near "the Kings Cross station" and he told me that i could take the train, or i could continue down the street we were on. Sure thing and we saw the Nightbus and all but then... we went into something that looked like a wall? It was a little weird but on the other side... Diagon Alley! And i have to say... I cried... a whole lot. It was magic and i couldn't take a picture that described how awesome and beautiful it was to see, if you are a huge Harry Potter fan. And i am very sorry Kristina, that you had to witness that. But i went into every single store in Diagon Alley even though most of them had the same things. I tried the Gringotts ride which was with amazing 3D effects. I can't describe how awesome it was. If you are just a little fan of Harry Potter DO IT.

After that we went to the Adventure Island with the Hogwarts Express whivh was crazy awesome as well. Instead of having the view of just trees on the way there, they showed the sceenary that are showed in the movies and Hagrid flies pass on his motorcycle. And on the close to see through doors we got a visit from the Dementors but was saved by the shadows of Harry Potter and his friends. You could hear them talk as well.
As you step out on the Adventure Island you step right out in Hogsmeade and this time i DIDN'T CRY ok. But it was a snow landscape and i bought a Pumpkin Juice to go (not good though) and went through the street until i came to Hogwarts. We were there on Valentines day, so there was long queues everywhere so you could stand there and see everything and take pcitures of all the magical Harry Potter things that was around you. The portraits were talking and Dumbledore was in his office and Harry and his friends were in the classroom which looked exactly like in the movie. The Hogwarts ride again was amazing. You were fliying through a quidditch game, had a dragon chase you and you went through the forbidden forrest before you fly over the lake to the castle again. It was beautiful!
All in all a really good day for me and my Harry Potter heart!

London - shopping, walking and Christmas spirit

Yet again i was in London for a few days. It was a really spontaneous trip and i forgot to tell a lot of people i was going apparently. When i got home to my precious internet i had a few messages on facebook from people who were confusted about where i was. Sorry about that!

It was a few days of Christmas shopping and just to see how London looked like at Christmas. I was not disappointed but it was still not what i was expecting. I though there would be more decoration in an old fashion style but it was mostly very modern decoration. I think blue is 'in' this Christmas by the way.

 The first day we went to the Cinema to see the third Hunger Game movie Mockingjay in Odeon Cinema Surrey Quays. After that we took a little walk around the house of Parliament, London Eye and ended up at Trafalgar Square. We met a really nice homeless man from Ireland on our walk actually. We just stoped and talked for a bit. I don't really know why.

Second day was Oxford Street and late visit at Hard Rock Cafe. Yet again. I'm there every time i'm in London. I always order the legendary burger because it's legendary good! And i have to mention that they played Black Veil Brides while we were there! Heaven!

The third day we went to see Platform 9 3/4 and i had to buy some Harry Potter books i needed in my collection. 'Fantastic beast and where to find them' and 'Quidditch through the ages'. It was on our way to Camden Town. Still as confusing as always. Then we went to Soho and Chinatown. We both love everything Asian. Manga, anime, culture, you name it! It's a really great and nice place to get lost. Which we do almost everytime we are there... ermh..

It was a great trip! We walked so much that our feet were pulsing at the end of the day. It was a hard time i tell ya!

I will write some more details about the trip later, but this is just a quick overview of what i have been up to the last few days!

New in: Tartan and geeky!

I have been really bad at shopping lately.. bad as in.. too much i think.

Anyway! If you know me you will know that i really like tartan clothes and i use my red tartan skirt (from H&M) as often as possible. So when i was in Odense visiting some friends i found the skirt in blue/green and i just had to get it! *.*  They didn't have it in my size though so i bought it in a size too big. 

To stay with the tartan clothes i found these cool tartan leggings in Danish Factory Outlet! You get 3 for only 100DKK which is pretty cheap! They are very comfy and warm. You can get them on their website, but i guess the red ones are sold out. I am a EU size 38 and i got them in a S/M. 

And now for the geeky part! I can now add another piece of merch to my Harry Potter collection! I found this really cool sweatshirt with the hogwarts logo on ebay on an auction! It was only 20$!! I was so happy i found it *.*

I personally don't know if tartan is "in" right now but i love it! 

Accessories - Birthday presents

Even though it's kind of a long time since it was my birthday i have something extremely cool things to show you! I use to keep my accessories to a minimum by only wearing a few rings or something discreet like that so i don't stand out as much as i use to when i was cough*emolike*cough. But why hide? why not just go crazy sometimes?

THIS belt! Was a gift and it was kind of a bitch at first because it have to sit on specific place or else your hips looks gigantic enormous! Well i may be a little bigger than many of you but i think it work in the end after i placed it around me for the 100th time or something.

Okay you can laugh but if you are a nerd THESE socks are freaking cool okay?! I don't know what to match with these socks yet but i'll find a way to style them! Im waiting for my Hogwarts Sweatshirt to come so maybe they will match perfectly! House Pride! They will definitely make me stand out xD

My 21th birthday

It has been a long week now that both me and my dads birthday is over!

We have birthday only two days apart so for his birthday we invited the family over and i was in the kitchen the whole day before baking 3 cakes and it was crazy. 

He wanted two nougat pies but i wanted to try a strawberry cheesecake so yeah.

On my birthday though we went to a Chinese restaurant where the birthday girl/boy can eat for free! Yesss! 

Another of my friends had birthday the same day as my dad so i was at her place in this week too and she made two cakes as well. 

I had a small birthday party this weekend for some of my closest friends and they brought a cake as well so this week has been filled with cake with cake and a hint of cake. I don't want to eat cake in a long time now... wow...

Anyway i got some really nice giftes! beside a lot of money i got i few things to unwrap even though i just turned 21. 

Funny detail! The purse is made by my uncles girlfriend! It's really cool *.*

I'll do a update later with these pencils because they have been on my wishlist for sooo long!

My Harry Potter geek pictures

As i promised in this post i would scan in some pictures i got of myself at the Warner Bros. studios when i tried the green screen. It was really cool and some random guy was standing and telling me what to do. Like lean left, right or reach for the water when i was flying across the lake. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have a Slytherin cloak (house pride you know!), so i was wearing a gryffindor costume as i got my pictures taken.

This one is by far the best! The other one is just boring.

Best experience: As the Harry Potter geek i am i have to say it was when i was i London visiting the Warner Bros. studios the making of Harry Potter! It was amazing! You can read about it here and see some of my pictures!

Favorite movie: Just yesterday i was in the cinema with a friend and watched Maleficent. It wsa not what i expected but it was really good! Go watch it now! We saw it in 3D and it i a really well made movie! But it's Disney so... i can't be shitty, right? 

Favorite TV-series: Awkward! I was about to be Team Luke but in the clip from the next episode it looks like he is cheating... i don't know anymore?! I like Matty but he is just annoying by now :(

Favorite song: Andy Biersack (leadsinger in Black Veil Brides) has started a solo project called Andy Black and he made this single and its really good!

Favorite band/singer: Eric Saade. I don't know why i have been in such a Eurovision mood but Eric Saade is one of my all time favorites that ever have been in Eurovision. He did not made it to the international final the first time he was in the swedish eurovision 2009, but he came in third the year after!

Favorite youtuber: Nick Pitera! He is the one man disney movie and he have done it again! I found out that he made a video for Oh my Disney and he is playing a whole village by himself! It is a song from Beauty and the Beast and you can watch it here!

Favorite youtube video: There is something wrong with you if you don't know who Maru the cat is! 

Favorite game: The Classic.. the game i have been playing the most through time: The Sims 3! I can't remember that i have been playing other games this month so i have to say Sims! I have so many games i have to try im just really lazy at this point.

Best buy: Uuuh it's so hard cause i have spend sooo much money in this month it's crazy! But.. hmmm... i guess it's my Harry Potter mugs xD   as i write here, i have been looking for these mugs forever and i found them at the Warner Bros. studios!

Favorite tea: When i was in Chinatown in London i found a little shops with only Chinese, japanese and korean things and i found this package with tea with NO information on it beside it said Oolong Tea. I tried it yeasterday and i guess i really like it? I have only tried it once now and it is really strong which i like. Kind of like a black tea, but not quite. It's hard to explain really.

London shopping: Harry Potter edition

Now that i fianlly found Platform 9 3/4 and was at the Warner Bros. Studios i took the opportunity (as the giant Harry Potter geek i am) to do a lot of merchandise shopping.

 I was at Warner Bros. first and i really wanted to buy everything! The original school uniforms really spoke to me, but there was no prices on them and i didn't dare to ask the old mustache guy who was watching over the most expensive part of the shop...

Anywas i got a few thing! The Tales of Beedle The Bard! It was half the price of the one in danish at the nearest bookstore so of course i had to buy it! I ended up with small things like a magnet with Fawkes on it cause that was the same picture that was on my entre ticket :3 A little keychain with deathly hallows symbol now that i could not find the necklace. And a stack of postcards i will decorate my room with! Then i got some bookmarks for free!! yey

I have to talk about these mugs. I loooove them and i have seen them a few times online before and fell in love with them from the start. But the only place i could find them was the homepage of Universal studios in Orlando.. and i don't think that a porcelain mug can get from USA to Denmark without dying. SO when i found these in London i was so excited and i had to buy two... ups!

And this one is really important to me! Yes i am a Slytherin! A proud one! And i have been looking for a fake one of these badges on ebay before (guilty!) but non of them looked like the original and a few of them was actually the wrong color o.o  But i found this to add to the (not quite) uniform i have! I really just need the rope and i could go for a real Slytherin.

At Kings Cross Station there is a store next to their (fake -o-) platform 9 3/4 and it was full of people but my dad was actually excited about it. I guess it was because i was almost dancing and hardcore fangirling when i saw it. I was fangirling in the Studio as well but my dad stayed home at the hotel that day. But even though he is not a Harry Potter fan, he bought a pin for his cap that said Platform 9 3/4 xD  It was also his idea that i needed the mug btw. He thought it looked cool. 

Once again the Slytherin pride! A little badge for 1£ can't hurt anyone! I just need a place to put it on now.

And an official ticket to the Hogwarts express! Actually it was also my dads idea that i needed this one xD  I though it was weird to buy, but i looked around and saw what all the others got and then i felt pretty normal when i bought this. (*cough* plastic Harry Potter glasses *cough*)
But sorry guys it's only one way. Im leaving for goods!!

Back from London! - Warner Bros. Studio tour: The making of Harry Potter

Wow it have been a long day now but i am back from London!
It is with mixed feelings im sitting in my own livingroom again.
I reeeally love England, the big city and traveling, but my bed at home is the best one to sleep in!

It's second time i was there, but this time was with my parents, who had never been there before. I was mostly showing them around places i have already been but a few things have been added.

This time i was in the Warner Bros. Studio. The Making of Harry Potter! It was the best part of the trip! I am the biggest geek... but the intro was amazing!

They shows a short behind the scenes film on a big screen and when it was done the canvas was coiled and behind it was the door to the great hall and Hedwigs theme was playing in the background and it was truly magical! Not going to lie... i cried... just a little bit!

All the scenes was there like the potion classroom, Dumbledores office, Hagrids hut and the Ministry of Magic etc.!!

In the end of the tour was the most beautiful thing ever! A small model of Hogwarts and the nature around it! they have been filming around this model and added the effects. They showed a video that showed how they did it all! It was sooo beautiful! You can't imagine!!! The photos is nothing!

A fun part was also the green screen. If you don't know what it is, its a screen in a green color a computer can replace with another video or picture. They used it a lot for the quidditch scenes and.... you could try it!!! I was a little disappointed that they didn't have a slytherin robe so i was wearing a gryffindor when i tried it. I got some photos taken but i have to scan them before i can put them up here, but i promise i will show them! 

New header! You like it?

Oh boy!  I have cramps in my hand and i'm sitting very uncomfortable but a minute ago i finished my new header! If you have been on my blog before you may see i have changed it a lot! Still need to make a few changes but the header i had before annoyed me with the strong colors, so that was one of the first things i would do my self. With my own hands! Hand.. i only used my left hand to draw... well it depends! I was drinking tea with the right hand! ;----D

The header is clearly inspired by the marauders map from Harry Potter. Not so clearly if you are not a Harry Potter fan but yeah! I downloaded a customized font so it would be as close to the original fant from the marauders map or just something that a Harry Potter fan would recognize from the movie!

If you are not a Harry Potter fan.. What do you think?? It is too much fan based?? Should i make it a bit more personal??

Harry Potter Festival 2013

I realized that i totally forgot to write about this! Really, Helene? Yes... im an idiot...

I have known about this festival for over a year, but i have never been able to go to it because i did not know anyone who lived nearby! Because it is in Odense and that is pretty far away from me. Almost 3 hours in train...
So yeah maybe i took advantage of one of my friends who is now going to the university in Odense ... Thank you i love you! ;-*  (you know i was not there only for the festival!!)

I did not know what to expect! I saw some pictures from 2012 and the roleplay was looking pretty damn good! So i though it would be like going in Hogsmeade or something like that! i though i would be able to buy the candy that JK Rowling described in the books and showed in the movies! I would like to have some real Bertie Butt's beans or the chocolate frogs! I may have though they would sell some real merch... but no...

Most of it was only for children.. like... really small children but i had fun anyway! Mostly because i was visiting my friend, but the end of the weekend with the Harry Potter concert was... AMAZING! As soon i heard the start of Hedwig's Theme... i had a meltdown! Everything from my childhood came back! The joy of seing a new Harry Potter movie or the first time my mother was reading the books for me! Simply magical!
And as my friend said.. when the concert ended and we walk out from the concert hall it was the same empty feeling we had, like when we saw the last movie and came out from the cinema...

Both my friend and i are going around with serious thoughts about being roleplay actors at next years festival! I have a half costume so why not complete it and use it? If i get the chance i'll do it!!

Hitting the twenties!

It hurts... really really much!
And i know there is many out there who thinks "maah im older than you brat!" but let me complain! It's not every day you go from being a teen to... what ever i am now? I KNOW im not an adult.. like... i will never be, but i can't say "i have to sleep this much, im a teen!" It use to be my weekend motto.

But i had a really great time! My birthday was the 12th and my dads the 10th, so we had a little family party the 11th, that means the only thing i did on my birthday was eating at SunSet.

The day after i invited all the girls to a Chinese restaurant, Jiang Nan and i think the waiters was a bit tired of us in the end, because we were there at 6pm, but did not leave until 9.30pm or something xD   maybe we made a bit noise, but.. naaah xD

The worst thing about birthdays is the fact, that im a giver, not a taker... so i hate making wishlists and people asking what i want for my birthday, so my family just gave me money, so i can.. store them away forever xD

BUT i did actually get some things to unpack because people have a great memomry! This is just a little outtake, because i don't want to take pictures of all of it.. lazyness hurray!
One if the things i got, but don't have yet (weird) is some Underground England shoes, which had to be a size smaller and send back, but i had them for like 5 minutes and i know im gonna love them, when the right size is coming! xD
I love the fact that there is a London Streetmap in the bottom of the shoes!!

And i just want to share one more thing, because one of my friends (Ayla<3) were very creative and made a very personal and homemade gift! 

When she ask what i wanted for me birthday, i can't remember what i said, but something like.. "anything Harry Potter related" Take a look!

Well... this one i a tough one... because im a person who is not only fan of or likes anything. When i find something i think is.. the best thing in the world... i become obsessed with it!!
