Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry late Christmas!
I have been totally lazy the last few weeks. Only though about Christmas, shopping presents and baking.
I have had a pretty nice Christmas eve with the family over and excited over that "let it go" from Frozen got a place in the classic Disney Show on TV. Even though my friend hate it! HA!

Beyond that i have tried to figure out what to do after summer. I'll try to search som guidejobs and sign up for some different Computer-related educations. So i have something to do until i find out what else to do in life. Wow.. that was deep...

Anyway have a awesome new year!

Yes i finally got a red panda kigurumi :D i have a tail o.o

Disney audition: How it went

I am a little late with this post, but i thought i would share with you guys how it went to the disney audition.

Well i would maybe have made this post a bit sooner if i actually got the part. So yeah. I didn't get it but, oh my, it was a funny experience!

The not so fun part of it, was that we had to wake up at 4am to get to the train station. One of my friends could not make it, so we were only two. It was a bit hard to find for someone who didn't live in Copenhagen. The only few times i have been there was for concerts, so finding a dance hall is.. well a challenge. The huge sign didn't do it for us and we had to ask for the direction and the man just pointed to the other side of the road... Well done Helene!

Anyway we found it and was standing in line to get measured and got our numbers. We had to fill out some information and put our number on our shirt.
There is 2 rounds where they pick out a few people. The first was some sort of movment/acting. We should act like cowboys, pirates, a dwarf from snow white, a disney villain and a princess/prince. It was all really weird but you got a great laugh out of it.

I didn't make it to 2th round where you have to show your danceskills. Lucky for me! I didn't dress for dancing now that i didn't think it was everyone that had to dance because they wrote dancing/non dancing characters.

We had a lot of time in Copenhagen afterward so we did a bit of Christmas shopping and enjoyed a day on Strøget.

I have to say that the day before we went to the cinema to see the last Hobbit movie. At the premiere day! Gitte is a total geek (like me eh) and that explains the perfect picture of a giant poster we found in Copenhagen.

My Disney audition

This is about one of the most crazy things that i will ever do in my life. Well.. at least for now.

I am actually going to an audition to be a Disney character at Disney Land Paris! I don't know why i am doing this, but it is so crazy and unlike me to do this, that i just have to do it!
I'm going to try for a part as Belle from Beauty and the Beast!

The last week i have been working on the dress for this audition and i have never made anything like this before. I have made a few teddy bears or so, but not a dress. I made it without template so i had to cut a few cm of the skirt part, becuase i am apparently really bad at math... But i made it and im proud of myself.

I am going to the audition the 11th so wish me luck! Because i have no idea about what im doing or going to do. They don't really tell you anything.
Im crazy nervous!

Christmas video from London

Im not the best photographer when it comes to things like this. I'm sorry!
But i think you should see how pretty London is at Christmas and there is a lot of video from Winter Wonderland!

Sunday 7 December 2014

Winter Wonderland in London

The main reason we were in London was to see Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.
We had heard it was really pretty and magical here in the cold and we just had to see it!

The first attempt to go there failed. We were simply too late and when we got there people were leaving in big numbers and were overflooded the Underground near by. We had to wait a long time to actually get a table at Hard Rock Cafe, so we didn't make it to the other side of Park Lane in time. It's so close though! Haha

Anyway it was HUGE! (second time we were lucky hihi) I have never seen so much Christmas at one place! Stalls with so many different kinds of food and christmas sweets. There were rollercoasters as big as in the stationary amusement parks in Denmark. Here they build them only for use in 1½ month and removes them again. It's crazy!

We only went there at night so you could see all the christmas lights and don't really see the grey sky and the puddles around the place. They were there of course but you were only seing the beautiful decoreated trees and stalls and everything!

If you are going to visit Winter Wonderland this year or next year, remember to find a stell where they sell "Tokens". It's the way to pay anything in there if you want to try the rollercosters or ice skating etc.

I'll put a few extra pictures in this post than i normally do. So you can see how big and beautiful it was!
Some pictures are taking by my friend Ayla :3

London - shopping, walking and Christmas spirit

Yet again i was in London for a few days. It was a really spontaneous trip and i forgot to tell a lot of people i was going apparently. When i got home to my precious internet i had a few messages on facebook from people who were confusted about where i was. Sorry about that!

It was a few days of Christmas shopping and just to see how London looked like at Christmas. I was not disappointed but it was still not what i was expecting. I though there would be more decoration in an old fashion style but it was mostly very modern decoration. I think blue is 'in' this Christmas by the way.

The first day we went to the Cinema to see the third Hunger Game movie Mockingjay in Odeon Cinema Surrey Quays. After that we took a little walk around the house of Parliament, London Eye and ended up at Trafalgar Square. We met a really nice homeless man from Ireland on our walk actually. We just stoped and talked for a bit. I don't really know why.

Second day was Oxford Street and late visit at Hard Rock Cafe. Yet again. I'm there every time i'm in London. I always order the legendary burger because it's legendary good! And i have to mention that they played Black Veil Brides while we were there! Heaven!

The third day we went to see Platform 9 3/4 and i had to buy some Harry Potter books i needed in my collection. 'Fantastic beast and where to find them' and 'Quidditch through the ages'. It was on our way to Camden Town. Still as confusing as always. Then we went to Soho and Chinatown. We both love everything Asian. Manga, anime, culture, you name it! It's a really great and nice place to get lost. Which we do almost everytime we are there... ermh..

It was a great trip! We walked so much that our feet were pulsing at the end of the day. It was a hard time i tell ya!

I will write some more details about the trip later, but this is just a quick overview of what i have been up to the last few days!

Andorra trip - River rafting

In the middle of my stay in Spain we took a little trip to Andorra. If you don't know what it is, it's a little independent state between France and Spain. They are not a part of EU, but they do have euros. It's kind of strange but yeah. So i can say, that i have officialy been outside Europe!
(And a quick note. Do NOT text or call anyone from there! It is expensive!)

There was a lot of police and security at the border to Androrra. Mostly out of Andorra. It's supposed to be a lot cheaper to shop in Andorra, so a lot of people are bringing too much out of the state, so they have a lot of limitations on how much alcohol, cigarettes and CANDY you can buy. Yes.. Candy.. good lord.

Anyway, i was not impressed by the prices on the stuff in Andorra. Mostly because i don't care about brands at all. Okay in Computers and IT maybe. But not clothes, jewelry, make-up and all that stuff. I still think it was very expensive, but maybe it's because i don't know what brands use to cost in Denmark or Spain. I only got a shirt with long sleeves because i was really cold and a bit of chocolate there.

But it was also close to the border where we were going river rafting! I do believe it was a olympic training place. We were told so. I was a little afraid of it in the start... River Rafting? Me? No... but then again..

It was really fun! A lot of work for the arms but you can't do anything else but enjoy it! If you ever get that chance to try river rafting. DO IT! For the love of god. And you got to wear this really sexy wet suit... well.. it is a wet suit.. i can't promise you sexy.. in any way..

On our way through the pyrenees to Andorra

It does not matter where in Andorra you are. Mountains everywhere! So beautiful!

Maybe not sexy but definitely wet suits... xD

A great picture of the whole crew trying to pull Laura indside the boat again! xD

Port Aventura - amusement park

If you ask me - the amusement parks in Denmark are kind of lame now that im 21 and have been in alost all of them a dozen times before. But in Spain i was finally visiting a amusement park i have never been in before and it was a lot bigger than all of those i have been in before!

Port Aventura - just outside Barcelona - can be seen from afar because of their giant roller coasters. The tallest (Shambhala) is 249 feet (76 m) and i can say.. i was not happy about trying that thing. But my Roommate wanted to try it, so she got her way and i tried it... 3 times. My fear of heights was put to the test but in the end it was pretty fun.
Another ride (Dragon Khan) was with 8 loops.. Again i was tested by my roommate. Not that i was not totally ok with it, but it was not fun in the beginning. I think we ended up in that one.. two times?

Anyway we had an amazing day and the Park was decorated for Halloween and it looked awesome!

Uh uh! And i have to mention.. it was my roommate that got sick and not me! It was her who wanted to go in all the big rides but it was not me who got sick! >: )

This is how you look in the middle of 8 loops...

Wow don't mind my bad english in this video but i hope my message is clear and gets through!
I hope that i will be making more videos in the future! I really enjoy making them.

Firewalk - 600 degrees hot coal

So one of the first things we did to get out of our comfort zone at the guideschool. FIREWALK.

We got it presented as walking on 600 degrees hot coal and it was totally not dangerous if we do it right.
So what is the right way to walk on coal?
DO NOT crumb your toes! Then the coal can get stuck under your toes and then you will burn yourself.
Don't go to slow or too fast. I guess i walked a bit too fast and i got burn under my right foot! Only a little blister but enough to make it uncomfortable the rest of the day.

And the last thing... just do it! I didn't think about it at all until after i did it. I was afraid afterwards and started to shake a little. In the end of the coalpath there was a bucket with water and one of our instructors to give a hug. It was needed indeed! There was one who fainted after walking and was carried away. It was crazy to see how different people can react to this experience.

If you ever get the chance to do it... go for it! I'm glad i did it!

Look at those cold hard faces of me and my roommate Gitte! Grrrh!

Back in Denmark!

Wow it's been a long time since i wrote on this blog and i'm sorry!
But now i'm back in Denmark after the best month in my life at Service & Co guideschool.

I'm not going to lie.. It was crazy hard and i was almost giving up at some point but i had the most amazing roommate that kept me going. Thank you!

The classes was really interesting and the instruktors knew what they were talking about and were funny at the same time! Maybe it was because they were "politically incorrect teacher". They surprised us more than once in that matter. Some of the surpises was fun.. others... not so fun.. at two am..

ANYWAY!

This month was filled with some fun experience too! Like River Rafting, firewalk, ziplining, trip to amusement park, Barcelona, Andorra and a whole lot of dancing!
In going to talk a lot more about this when i get the pictures!

In the end. Now i have an education. Im a guide now! And the whole world can be my workplace from now on! I just need to find out where to go from here.

I'll cut it here. I'm really sick and have been since two days before i came home. I used the last evening in bed while all the others were partying :C
The morning after we were all crying. We didn't want to go home and we were living shoulder by shoulder so it was really weird to come home where there was nobody. SO there was alot of drying in the airport. It was hard saying good bye to a great roommate even though we don't live that far from each other.

Dear readers....

.If you have been reading my blog, you know that i'm in Spain right now at the guide school in Pineda De Mar near Barcelona. The school is really cool and good but also really stressful so i can't update that much until after im home again.

So this blog will maybe be silent until November! I really want to tell you guys about everything im doing down here, but so much is happening every day, that i simply can't keep it down to a few lines and pictures. We are in action from 8am to 22.30pm everyday so alot can happen!
(In the other hand.. the internet is really bad here, so i can't upload too many picutres anyway!)

Hope you understand and want to hear more about the guideschool in November!

Service & CO: the first few days

One thing i have to say.. i should not sit here and write this. I don't really have any free time and we just got a book we have to read really quick too but i just want to make a quick update.

The hotel is super great and i don't think i could get a better roommate so that is nice!
It is a really big challenge for me to be here because there is so many situations i really hate but i think it's healty for me to try becuase i wish i could be like many of the others and could be this really funny and energetic guide there is a super preformer, but i'm not.

We had the microphone in the hand from day 1 and i have never been forced to be this social before in my life (only child problem) so having a roommate is really new and being forced to talk this much in group work is still not something i enjoy, but all the personality lessons we have had in the start makes people accept my shyness on a level i have never experienced before! It's crazy how people i normally never would talk to are just so open and nice to me.

Anyway, the lessons is extremely secret for us, so we still dont know what we are doing tomorrow and the day after. It is kind of a surprise to us every day. Which is really hard for me when im a C person. (And im sure this dosn't make sence if you don't know what DiSC is.)

And in the end.. here is some pictures!

Den blå planet - Copenhagen

So today is my last day in Denmark, now that i'm going to the guideschool tomorrow morning.
I have been in Copenhagen all day and my hotel is really close to the airport, which is nice, but also to the  new aquarium Den blå planet that opened in 2013 (in english; The Blue Planet).

It is really big and is divided into different parts of the world depending on where the fishes are from. On different times at day they show how they feed the different fishes and what they eat. We saw them feed the sharks in the biggest basin where you could stand underneath them in this corridor. It looks so good when a huge stingray swims just above you! It looks like they are smiling :)

They also had a indoor rainforest with a lot of red piranhas. You could see them be fed but i didn't stay to see it because i was there at noon and they would first be fed around 4.30pm or something.

I also saw the biggest otter i have ever seen! Sadly it was outside and now that the weather isn't so good in Denmark in fall and 'den blå planet' is right by the sea the wind was crazy and i feared that my beanie would fly away.

In the evening we ended up at Cafe Le Perr which was close to the hotel too and the food there was really good! I really need to take some pictures in some of the places i visit but i can just say that their salmon is really great!

Im sorry if my english is bad in this post, but this is being written really quick now that i have to get up pretty early tomorrow and the internet on the hotel is btw shit! The bed is really good though.

Nature phenomen: 'Sort sol' in southern Jutland

On our way back from Flensborg the other day we stopped to eat dinner in Aventoft. We have been in Aventoft quite a few times before. They have a good restaurant and not many knows the place so the stores are not filled with people like the bigger boarder shops.

We normally drive to Germany in the summer so this time was a bit different. Hundreds of people gathered just outside the restaurant. My mom remembered that it was the saeson for 'sort sol' which is a nature phenomen you only see in very northern Germany or Southern Jutland.
Aventoft is not even a kilomet from the boarder so these people were standing in Germany and watching the starlings gather in Denmark in a very small area and fly like a wave in the wind. It looks amazing! We finished eating really quick to come outside to see Sort sol.

Bad quality, but you can get an idea of how the birds move together.

1 day trip to Flensborg

So yesterday i took a Spontaneous trip over the border to Germany to visit Flensborg.
This time it was not only for shopping like many danes do, but just to relax and walk around a little.

We went there around noon and the city was full of like even though it was Thursday. We found a restaurant/cafe, in the end of the shopping street Großen Strasse, called Cafe Central. It was pretty big and i'm sure it is a place to party in the weekend. All the tables outside were taken so we had to sit inside. The dishes were classic german food but not the best i have had. If i have to eat german food at noon i usually go for fish, because it's not too heavy a dish, but it tasted more like butter it was fried in, than actually fish.

I really liked their shopping street and the shopping center Flensburg Galarie. I found one of my favoirte stores called Saturn. It's a huge electronic store with a lot of DVD's, CD's and games.
Also i found this really geeky store at Großen Strasse called Gandalph. It was filled with books, merch and mangas! My geeky heart was bleeding because it was all in German and even though i do understand german, i only read books in English or Danish.
Near the big church in town there was a litlle flea market. Mostly old people trying to sell old porcelain and vinyls but very charming!

One thing i have always loved about Germany is the many Eis-cafés! They have every kind of ice creme you can imagine and i can't understand why it's not a thing in Denmark. When im in Germany in the summer im going to a eis-cafe at least one time every day!

One week to go!

Im going to Spain in a week! How crazy is that?
Im already starting to pack my suitcase and find everything i need. I have been shopping a lot of sports clothes because im not the best at running or going to the gym. If i want to exercise i swim like i always has done.

I don't feel good about it right now. The whole idea of me alone in Spain without any of my family or friends seems crazy to me right now. It's a bit like my first class trip to Berlin. I had no friends in my class and even though we had been in the same class for over a year, some of them still called me Helena even though my name is Helene. They didn't even knew my name... i was pretty much alone or people was forced to be with me. It's the same feeling i have now. What if im going to be a loner? I don't know anyone else down there! At least the second time i was in Berlin i had my new class which i loved and i made so many good memories!
But then again.. How big is the chance that all 150 students in Spain will hate me? Im sure at least one will remember my name correctly right?!

God why am i always so negative? Expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised! That use to save my ass but until i reach the positive i just want to cry sometimes.

Anyway i met a girl working in Sports Master today and her friend has been at the guide school and she absolutely loved it. She wanted to go too, but she didn't have the money yet. My driving Instructor also had a student that just came home from the guide school and she said it was the best time of her life. I just have to think about that!

Stop being so god damn negative Helene! Get over yourself and enjoy the Roller Coaster called life!

Still a mess but i have my papers and mini dictionary ready!

Visit Viborg

Today i was a tourist in my own town! My mom had to go to some early meeting so i thought i would go with her into Viborg "downtown" and explore the city like i have never done it before.

Viborg use to be a place i only go for shopping, because the shopping streets are pretty damn good! But i totally forget that Viborg is one of the oldest cities in Denmark and it's pretty charming if you take a look around.

In the old part of town around Viborg Cathedral you can still find timbered houses in the middle of the city and other old buildings like High Court of Western Denmark. The streets are still made of cobblestone which makes it really annoying to drive around in the old part of town, so i suggests that you park the car in one of the many parkinglots around downtown and take a walk around.

The Cathedral is placed close to the two lakes in Viborg. Nørresø og Søndersø. Near the lakes is the city park Borgvold. It can be translated to something like Castle Moat. Where the park lays today was once a moat to a castle there is no more, but the park is names after it anyway. It is a flowerpark so if you are visiting in the summertime the park is really pretty and colourfull.
But let me warn you! There are a lot of ducks in there so if you want to enjoy your meal in the park, don't go near the water unless you want to share! :)
Borgvold is also a place i remember from when is was a kid. There is a big playground in there and it is well visited by kindergardens.
There is a small flower garden close to the Cathedral as well called Latinerhaven. It's also very beautiful in the summer but it's pretty much withered by now.

If you want a nice long walk you can go around Søndersø. There is close to 6 km around the lake and there is a well used path all the way around so you are close to the lake all the way around.
You can also rent a boat in Nørresø and sail around there.

All of this are in the same area of downtown and the Cathedral is also really close to the shopping streets.
