Yet another summer in Rüdesheim am Rhein

After spending two weeks away from home (and stable wifi) i am now no the blog again, ready to write!

We went to Rüdesheim Am Rhein again this year, now that my parents do not have any wild imagination and don't want to drive that fare away with a caravan. I went with them because i didn't have to work and had nothing better to do.

An the other side, Rüdesheim sure is beautiful. The nature along the river Rhine is really something and hundreds of old castles is still places along the river. Many of them build by the old Romans when they owned the southern part of Germany/Germania. They used all this castles to own money from those who want to sail past with their goods that they had to sell elsewhere.

On both sides of the river there is a lot of vine fields. You can see how their small tractors are working their way up the hills. It sure must be risky working on those fields.
Every little city down along the Rhine has their own wines you can tast on the many restaurants. You can not find the wines in the Supermarkeds down there. If you look around there is small stores that specializes in local wines. There is actually also Weingärten (Vine gardens) where they only serv local wine. Not beer, no cola, no food. Only wine. They are normally owned by those who make the wine and is really charming small places.

Most of the main streets in Rüdesheim is fully conducted. Such german charm.
Everyone who comes to Rüdesheim, normally comes to experience the famous Drosselgaße. It is a very narrow street with lots of stores, german music and waiters in traditional german clothes. You can't find this amount of lederhosen and milkmaid clothes anywhere else.

I will be writing a few reviews and tips from my trip very soon.

Here is some pictures from my trip!
Rüdesheim from above the wine fileds on the hill (Bingen on the other side of the water)
Walk from the campsite to the turist city of Rüdesheim
Rüdesheimer schloss from Drosselgaße. When it rings there is a lot of turist arond because of
the small figures dancing around under the bells.

Rapunzel cosplay DIY

I have been working on this dress for sooo long now. I did almost give up, because i though it was impossible and my sewing skills is not the best, but i kept going and i have been making a huge progress the last few days! So i though i wanted to show you it on here, like i do on my instagram.

I bought a dress in the secondhand shop and it just screamed Rapunzel so i got it for only 55DKK or less? I can't remember, but it is creap for a dress made out of satin. I think it is someones old prom dress to be honest.

I stared down pinstest for a few weeks and started to buy all the materials i though i needed. When i told the lady in the hobby store what my plan was and said i didn't have any experience in making dresses (beside the Belle one of course) she just looked at me weird. "Are you sure you want to do this?" oh hell yes.

I think it is going pretty well! ANd yes i got a wig too!

As i wrote in my last post i was at the Tinderbox Festival to see All Time Low last month and of course i had to draw my favorite member of All Time Low (Even though i think i got a new favorite member after the concert hihi)

I present to you, THE Alex Gaskarth in A4.

All Time Low - Tinderbox - 28th June

Like most of the younger danish population i went to a music festival this weekend. My friend Maja and I got our tickets a while back when we heard that All Time Low would come to the festival.

All Time Low is not that big in Denmark, so it was kind of strange that they came here to a Festival and played the smallest stage there. I'm pretty sure that they play some huge stages in US and UK. They played already at the afternoon which is for the "smaller artists". I was pretty offended that such a big band for me was so small for everone else but yeah.

We arrived pretty early to stand in the front row. So we were in the front to a band before All Time Low that we didn't know. They were not bad, but it was pretty awkward to stand in front when you can't sing along to any of the songs.

I was a wreck when we could see Alex's blue hair backstage. I always starts to shake before a conert i have been looking forward to for so long.
They made a pretty chill entrance and soon Jack became the whole party of the stage. He was so funny through the whole concert. He was running around the stage and infront of the stage. He crawled up and down the stage right in front of Maja and I all the time. I totally froze everytime he did is, so i didn't even get any good pictures of him standing right in front of me x.x *sigh*

Jack got a danish graduation cap at some point and had it on for a few songs. Excitingly stating that he graduated. He also collected all the bras people threw on the stage and had a little onesided conversation with a half naked guy laying close to the concert area. Later Alex agreed that we all could make sweet loving backstage. All in all a very awesome and humorous concert.

(Sorry any missspells but i am currently listing to All Time Low and did more than once start to write lyrics in the middle of everything and deleted it again)

Karup å marked 2015

Yet another year with Lars Lilholt band! Though this have been the most stressfull marked weekend i have ever had.
It is kind of a tradition that the whole family is coming to our campsite where the Karup Å Marked is every year in the middle of june. I have been using my whole week for baking, because it is part of the tradition and my grandparents simply love when i bake for them.

I was crazy enough to thing i should bake a cheesecake which takes days to make, if you make them the right way. (Hummingbird bakery recipe) My mom wanted my "famous" white chocolate and cranberry cookies and then i tried to make french nougat (didn't end up that good). So it was kind of a project.

The festivity started already friday but i had to work Friday untill 6pm and work from 10am Saturday, so i stayed at home friday, because i didn't want to drive to work from the campsite and i don't really sleep that well out there. So i had to speed frem work (not really) Saturday and i got there half an hour after the rest of my family (Thank you old man who drove so fucking slow in front of me all the way from work to the campsite) and i felt bad, because my family didn't want to drink coffee or eat the cake before i came. They just sat there.

When the famile went home, one of my dads old friends came and started to drink really much. He is annoying enough already and i don't understand a word he is saying because he speaks like a redneck. So the drinking was just a pain in my ass. Luckly i had a few friend coming to get me and i could spend some time with them before i had to eat dinner.

The concert was not the best. For the first time in the.. well more than 10 years i have been to these concerts.. it was raining like hell. Everyone was wet and cold and had umbrellas with them. (Video)
Also it was quite slippery. A drunk lady broke her ankel right it front of us because she was dancing around. 4 first aid people came to get her, because she was quite big. Luckly me friend Camilla found me again and we saw the rest of the concert together in the rain.

Better pictures didn't i get this year. I didn't want to take any camera with me in the rain.

WIP pictures of Ashton Irwin

I did this drawing before the concert 12th May, so it is kind of old, but i didn't share it here on my blog so here it is! My beloved drummer boy Ashton Fletcher Irwin :3

And now that they can't have their tally logo anymore i was a rebel and did it on the drawing anyway because fuck that! The tally will stay forever!

5 Seconds of Summer - Forum - 12th May

And finally the highlight of the year! Seing my biggest obsession live in Copenhagen. 5 Seconds of Summer live in front of my very own eyes! It was amazing!

But serious talk. I can't stop going on about these dudes and they are such a big part of my life, that it is almost ridiculous. The bands twitter and instagram are the first thing i'm looking at in the morning on my phone. So seing them live and get some real human behind all these silly pictures i see everywhere is so big for me!

It was a long day. Camilla and i started up by taking the bus to the nearest trainstation to get to Aarhus. In Aarhus we had to take the concert bus to Copenhagen already at 1pm and we where at the venue arond 5.15pm. The queue was all the way around Forum when we got there, but the line was quick so it was okay. Some people got kick back in the line because they were running in, but seriously.. who is running in, when you have a seat ticket? You don't get any closer to your idol by running in to your seat.

The warm up band was Hey Violet and i have hear one song from them before the concert. The were okay, but i like bands with male leadsingers the best. I like their music, but i did not become a fan.

But when Ashton (the drummer) got on the stage.. HOLY SHIT i don't think i have ever been screaming that much in my life. He is starting up the show with some epic drumming before the others get on the stage and i didn't know what to do to myself because he is drop dead gorgeous and i was fangirling så hard. Though i don't think we was as "alive" as on the Live CD. You can hear him yelling all the time but he didn't approached the audience that much. Michael in the other hand did almost all the talking. He is a lillte cutie pie in a "punk rock" body.

Though the boys didn't seem so thrilled about Denmark.
To quote Michael; "Copenhagen your city is.......*Insert awkward silence here*... cool.."
They were talking about the bad weather they have had the two days they were here and how there was bikes everywhere. Ashton even wanted to know how many from the audience took the bike to the concert. It's funny how everyone always talks about bikes when it's Denmark. I don't think it's that bad.
They were talking a bit of danish but i didn't catch what ever they were trying to say. Though i do think Michael said "Godmorgen" in the Good Girls song after Calum sang "..and if you ask her she says.." I got it on video!
If you want to see the videos i got at the concert (I got a really great video of their new song Permanent Vacation) then the link to my youtube channel is above or here! Or you can click here to see the Good Girls song.

All my pics from the concert are on my twitter
